Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Stereovation started as Burning Point, this horrible 2 guitar project that Matt and Ryan had goin' on. Then Matt got a drum kit, and voila, Stereovation, the musical project Matt and Ryan had been working for just happened, we added Tristan on bass and began practicing and writing songs, we played our first show at the Croatian Cultural Center in Vancouver, to about 30 people not a big crowd, so we went back and wrote some more songs and now we're a LEAN MEAN ROCKING OUT MACHINE!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, we'll play anywhere we can.
Your musical influences
Well, we have different tastes, that's what makes our music so different, some bands we like are Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Slipknot, Our Lady Peace, Tool, APC, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, H.I.M., Drowning Pool, Stone Sour, A.F.I., A-Spec, The Used and Finch. Ryan's into alot of alternative stuff like OLP, Foo Fighters and Nirvana. Tristan listens to all the weird stuff like Tool, Smashing Pumpkins and System Of A Down, and Matt is the bands token emo kid, but he also draws a lot of influence from the supergroups of the '80s, just straight up rock and roll, like Motley Crue and Guns N Roses, and the greatest drummer of all time John Bonham!
