Local Niagara Falls, NY metal band, STEMM has returned from Spider Studios in Strongsville, Ohio with a 4 song demo including guest vocals by Mark Hunter of CHIMAIRA on the song, "13 Years"
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
STEMM originates from two projects in the Western New York area that have redefined themselves as one project intent on moving forward in a new direction. Each had been recognized in their own right for their level of dedication, perseverance and determination to succeed. The band has generated an immense following throughout their local area and the east coast region as a result of extensive touring. Last year their efforts landed them a slot on Chimairas headlining east coast tour, furthering their reach throughout the metal community. The band has made numerous marks in the industry as they develop including: MP3.COM s first unsigned act to achieve the #1 spot on the charts over a national act (twice) and have surpassed 96,000 downloads in less than 2 years. Winner of the Buffalo Music Award for Best Hardcore/Metal act in WNY for 3 consecutive years, [2001, 2002, & 2003]. Constant Rotation on the Direct TV Satellite Network Metal Music Channel, MUSICCHOICE.com as well as local commercial radio station 103.3 The Edge earning them points on the CMJ Ratings charts. Music featured on X-BOX video game, TAPOUT 2, FOX SPORTS television program As Real As It Gets featuring the Ultimate Fighting Championship, And every Ultimate Fighting Championship Pay-Per-View event since August 2002. Also featured in snowboard/ski films Balance and Second Generation produced by Level 1 Productions/ESPN Extreme Scene producer Josh Burman also featuring music from national recording artists New Found Glory.
