Stellar Frequency
Stellar Frequency is a high-energy sub-alternative band with a metal/experimental twist.
Forming in late 2001, they have become an in-house name among most of central-America. Along with playing with big national acts with Vans Warped Tour, and Porkfest, They are making headway into the music industry. The band has ongoing publicity with news, radio, merchandise, CD’s, and promotional users. Stellar Frequency puts their unique style of music in your face, your mentality, and your CD player on a daily basis. With a very ambient stage-presence and music that follows this band will top the charts, sell their talent, and make itself known. “Stellar Frequency is music to flail the forbidden soul”. Lis’n & N’joy Stellar Frequency.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Stellar Frequency is a talented and high energy “Sub-Alternative Rock band with a Metalexperomental Twist”. The group combines drums, electric/acoustic guitars, bass, and keyboards, synths, samples with vocals/back-up vocals.
Stellar Frequency won the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands 7 for the privilege to perform with the Van’s Warped Tour in Wichita Kansas 2003. The band was selected out of more than 2600 bands to be one out of four bands from a three State area to play with the tour that year. Stellar Frequency plays a Two-State area and is interested in broadening its fan base by playing new Venues whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Stellar Frequency began in late 2001 when four young men who were/are all music and art majors realized that they had mutual interests and goals in life. This union has formed a band with a direction and drive that is not normally seen at such a young age. The direction is that all the members of the band want their music to be heard and they are willing to dedicate their lives to accomplish this ambition.
Some of the influences on the band include but not limited to The Deftones, Incubus, Mudvayne, Tool, Metallica, A Perfect Circle, KMFDM, Gary Numan, Eno, Klaus Schultz and 311 just to name a few. This combination of style cultures is only a hint from where the diversity of musical styles may come from when the listener is at a Stellar Frequency concert.
The band has over 40 original songs and the number is growing at a constant pace. Each and every member of the band contributes to the writing and arrangement of sounds and textures for Stellar. The songs vary in style and delivery from “the hard of hards to the soft of softs”.

RYAN COON: Lead guitarist, rhythm guitar, brass instruments, guidanceRyan’s favorite musical style is speed metal and it shows in his guitar work and attitude "the faster I play at self-practice sessions the better I can be for concerts and studio".
