Amidst the gloss and glam, the shopping malls and surf wear fashion statements that make up Sydney’s northern beaches, 4 guys with an interest in raw, unkempt grooving sounds have found themselves wanting to produce something more organic, something more real than the processed plastic wrapped music that has become a soundtrack to beachside suburbs. Hence Steak Lovers are here, remaining true to their roots by stepping up to the mark of playing high energy Rock and Roll and destroying local garages aplenty!

Based on Sydney's northern beaches, bass player Brett Martin and guitarist Jay Jackman smartened up in late 2004 after years of sporadic jamming and down right laziness, took off the gloves and stepped into the ring of punkophonic action sound!
They played with the likes of Johnny Casino's Easy Action and Intercooler as a 3 piece, and in March 2005 recruited keys player Justin Sheppherd, authenticating the group's sound with his organ and piano treatment.
With an EP recently recorded the guys are looking to extend their audiences at new venues and put some fun back into rock & roll.
