Oris Jay and Sticky are probably the producers I look up to the most ... I could list loads more (Big$hot, Donaeo, Wiley etc.) but there's no point
Youngstar though needs a mention because after the drop of Pulse X was when kids in their bedrooms thought "Yeah! I can produce a beat!" like myself and started a tidal wave of new, young producers coming through.
What equipment do you use?
FL Studio 4, Junglist VST, PlugSound Free VST, Samples from t'internet and a Mo Phatt Soundfont.
