Minimalist music often involves smaller instrumental and vocal ensembles than other music. It involves a minimal approach to the embellishment and development of the musical themes, with phrases and harmonies being repeated. The music is tonally more accessible to listeners than abstract or serial music, but the repetitiveness can sound tedious to some listeners. Many modern composers have toyed with minimalism, and some, like John Adams, Philip Glass, and Steve Reich, have based their reputations on it. Here I have divided my minimalist collection into works I enjoy.
Anything else?
