State Of Mind (NJ)
We're from south New Jersey and we just got done recording our 3-song demo which contains all originals. We are also trying to post ourselves up on as meany message boards and web sites as we can possibly find. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
State of Mind is a 5-piece alternative rock band out of Voorhees, New Jersey which is about 16 miles east of Philadelphia. We have been together for about two years and have finally recorded our demo which is made up of 3 original songs all written and recorded by State of Mind. All of the recording was done in the basement of Greg and Matt Bucelli by the band with no outside help from anyone. We are proud of the way it has turned out and we will be making a lot more new music in the near future. Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes we do, and we love doing it because of all the energy we get from crowds and give to each other when we are performing.
Your musical influences
The 5 of us each bring something different to the band and it all contributes to our own sound. Some big influences are bands like Our Lady Peace as well as Silverchair.
What equipment do you use?
We are neither techno nor electronica, but we use the following equipment -
guitars - Gibson, PRS & Fender
amps - Ibanez & Crate
drums - Sonor and Zildjian cymbals
Anything else?
We are just trying to make a name for ourselves anywhere we possibly can. We want our music to be heard by as many people as possible.
