starcrunch
starcrunch was seth borsello on drum kit, sam fisher and ryan sotomayor switching on guitar, bass and singing.
starcrunch played punk rock in idaho, oregon and utah from september of 1996 to april of 1997.
we played a lot of shows and had a proper fanclub, with cards and everything.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
sam and ryan met in rexburg in 1995.
sam ate a worm for $5.
sam went to see the flux capacitors play.
ryan went to see downpour play.
they moved to rexburg and started a band.
then somehow seth was found to play drums.
it was fun.
we made a demo tape.
we recorded at rockhouse records where unbeknownst to us the engineer put delay on everything, the resulting twelve songs were unusuable and we lost $150 on the deal, which was crappy because sam sold his snowboard for the recording.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
we had a lot of fun jumping around. this one time we sold a bunch of tapes, that kicked some ass.
Your musical influences
early green day, jawbreaker, lookout bands that try to sound like the ramones, sicko, mtx, the hi fives, nolan, the lovepumps, the bajurkers, jill
Anything else?
we made three tapes.
four alternative love songs ep
the christmas ep
back for the attack ep
we also made a record, but it came out really crappy because of the dumb engineer putting delay on everything.
it was going to be called either...
twelve cosmic snacks
or
back for the attack
