IT'S OK LEVON IT'S OK LEVON
This is my tribute to Levon Helms who passed away on April 19, 2012. He's long been my favorite singer. The Band is a terrific band! So sad to see you go so early, Levon. I thank Kenneth Lavrsen very much for the very wonderful music backing!

PLANT IN BLACK PLANT IN BLACK
In a recent peaceful protest in Malaysia 200,000 Malaysians gathered peacefully to fight for clean elections, the government saw to it that violence be insidiously be permeated into the event. So they planted 2000 non-badged PLANTS to make trouble.
LION SLEEPS TOO LONG LION SLEEPS TOO LONG
Inspired by Liberian peace activist Leymah Gbowee, joint winner of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize, led women to defy feared warlords and pushed men toward peace during one of Africa's bloodiest wars.
MURDERER OF LOVE MURDERER OF LOVE
Wrote it, recorded it for the first time in whole...and Tommy Hellsten thought it was good enough to wrap (after his mastering, of course).
PROMISE OF IRELAND PROMISE OF IRELAND
Long ago a guy asked me to write a tune for his lyric (which wasn't that good...I changed quite a bit of it). We collaborated on a few songs. He later had a few followers, but grew pompous. Anyway, I thought my tune should be revamped
LOVE LOVE
Tommy Hellsten just acquired an iPad. He wrote the backing track and sent it to me. I quickly wrote the tune and lyrics. This is the result. At iCompositions this song received 1,000 plays in 3 weeks. It had 2 gold, 3 silver notes
KING OF NOTHING Mark Staab KING OF NOTHING Mark Staab
Mark Staab profoundly expresses the depressive situations of the homeless and binners of every city. Vocals, instruments - Mark Staab
NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE COLOUR OF SKIN NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE COLOUR OF SKIN
Song against discrimination and racism! Tommy Hellsten helped me mix this one. Apologize for the poor vocals...can't expect much from a 70 year old man!
THE PROMISE THE PROMISE
Dedicated to Mr. Saw Chu Thong, my History Teacher at The Victoria Institution. The alleged incident happened in 1960 or 1961. Mix: Tommy Hellsten Drums: Neal Gilbertson
JUST BECAUSE JUST BECAUSE
My first composition on 2012. A love ballad. I am told I must not write sad songs. Tommy Hellsten did the mixing.
THE CHARMER THE CHARMER
Old song that I wrote for the Kaverleys. Produced and done by Ken Lee.
TEACHER TEACHER TEACHER TEACHER
This is a song I wrote for a Chinese animation TV series called Ginseng vs Aliens. But it was rejected.
THE ROYAL ENTOURAGE THE ROYAL ENTOURAGE
This song was inspired by Ron DiCiannis Resurrection painting.
MIRROR IN THE SKY MIRROR IN THE SKY
This was a reject from a TV series I was writing for. Tommy Hellsten helped me mix it. Picture: Tim Wenzel
I NEVER MET MY GRANDPA Neal Gilbertson I NEVER MET MY GRANDPA Neal Gilbertson
Neal Gilbertson did a grand job covering this song for me!
GOD'S WAY OF GIVING GOD'S WAY OF GIVING
My 6 year old grand-daughter, Arwen, is probably responsible for starting this song. Her grandma asked her if she would sing her a song, and she came up with something really deep in meaning (see lyrics). I took the writer's license and completed it.
