Stanley James is a singer not afraid to sing about the issues of life, love and relationships. Stanley James is not "Atypical" from the standpoint of whining about love i.e. the stereotypical R&B singer who begs for love and acceptance in his songs, but attempts to address everyday realistic life issues.
Stanley was used as a background vocalist for recording artist known as "JOE."
In April 2002 he recieved industry attention after his television debut on FOX 5's "Good Day Atlanta."
In September of 2002 Stanley was selected as the headlining entertainment for the African Children's Fund annual Banquet held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Atlanta Georgia, where he performed for the honorable Desmond Tutu.
In January 2003 Stanley was featured in the XSNRG.net Magazine, where a full featured interview was conducted in Manhattan NY.
In February of 2003 Stanley packed up his gear and ventured to Europe to shop his music to all the Major Labels in Berlin Germany.
In May 2003 Stanley did a interview and performance of his hit single "im not the one" for Columbus Ohio ABC6 newscenter and Fox 28 with Yolanda Harris
May 25, 2003 Stanley was an opening act for recording artists "702" at the BLGPD at the Washington D.C. Convention Center.
October 2003 Opening Act for Montell Jordan and his new release " life after D.E.F at Club ENVY Columbus Ohio
March 2004, Stanley Showcased "Household Name" at the Famous S.O.B.'s in New York

Your musical influences
im a relatively open minded music person my main issue is that the music has to move me. if its beethoven or tim mcgraw I will embrace it as long as it moves me. I could very easily go into the usual suspects (so to speak) i.e. stevie wonder, donny hathaway, temptations etc. but those are a given. I enjoy music period. However, i do have an issue with just becsue im black my music has to be boxed as R&B.. I believe im universal in appeal once people hear me they either like me or dont.What equipment do you use?
