Standing Sideways
"We were born and destined to please the masses. And that is what we intend to do." (Standing Sideways)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Our band came together in the Fall of 2003. At first it was just myself (Ron Berg), and Kesley Humble. We both played guitar, and I sang. We came to the conclusion that we had great songs that needed more of the whole traditional band sound. So we started looking around. Soon enough I met Pirmen Engeler. I came to find out that Pirmin was rocking the bass, and desperately wanted to persue his talents. We tried him out and decided he was more than qualified. Within the same month, Adam Weston moved to our little town. He is an excellent drummer and was excited to join our band. The band was united. We were making magical moments in sound. Everything was perfect. It was like chemistry finally came together, and we just flowed with it. We have played many shows, and are gaining a bigger fan base. We are excited to pursue our musical career. It's pretty hard to label what genre we are. Basically, just take each of our personalities and try to somehow put them into music. That is the sound of our band. That is Standing Sideways. We are a team. We are brothers.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We love to play live shows. We feel that we are better live than on CD. We like to travel outside of our roots and play with other bands. Our Idaho Falls battle of the bands victory was a "bonding moment" for our band. We hope that our success will continue.
