STAIRWAY began after being influenced by the NWOBHM era. Their Debut CD, 'No Rest : No Mercy' produced by Paul Hodson (Hard Rain / Bob Catley), hailed the band's International popularity. The band continued to work live, and independently released in 1999 the second album 'Bleeding Heart'. Stairway's 3rd album 'On Hallowed Ground ' was released in 2002 and gained the band an increased global fan base. Following up on this success, the band featured on an un-signed bands contest by AOR Dreamzones.com which they duly won with 38% of the vote! This followed by having the track 'Under the Gun' chosen to feature on a compilation CD released by American Label MIB Music which was released World Wide in 2003.
Further to calls for their first album, Stairway signed an exclusive deal with Retroactive Records in the USA to re-release 'No Rest:No Mercy' as a Limited Edition in 2005. The album and is now available from the bands web site at www.stairwaymusic.co.ukYour musical influences

Well done guys, great to hear a bit of classic rock, 'No mercy' is a real foot tapper with a powerfull sound. Loved the twin guitar sound, short but sweet ! bring back ROCK !!.It would be great if you could check out our song 'your life' all the best Tam and the Giants.
