Spyre are a melodic indie band from Glasgow Scotland. the band members are Paul McLernon Vocals, Thomas McClure Drums, Lee Ireland, Bass,Skip Tierney Keyboards, Neil Cossar Lead Guitar

Spyre The Band Spyre : In their quest for musical fame, all members have given up full time employment to focus all their energy into producing the unforgettable sound that is spYre. Few changes to the original line up. Spyre’s sound has grown and can now be coined as Rock,pop, melodic with an new electronic twist.They have been together for a short time and already have an impressive gig cv including Carling Academy, KingTuts. Manchester :Retro Bar, Liverpool: The Green Apple next to cavern. London : The Red Lion. Edinburgh : Whistle binkies and soon to play the Liquid Rooms. Energetic showmanship, Magical powerful full sound but a rounded rawness which comes through the vocal and guitar riffs. What makes spYre tighter is that they are genuine friends. Skip :(keys and bvs) Born in Glasgow but raised in Perth,Australia. Last member of the band to join. Plays keyboard and recently added a Korg Micro Synth to his array of sounds. Brings melodic harmonies and strong backing vocals. Trade mark bowler hat. Influences : Chris Martins musicianship, Most recently been touched by Franz Ferdinand. Thomas :(drummer) From Glasgow (Partick) Original member of the band. Was inspired to be a drummer due to a state of vengeance in order to annoy neighbours. Influences include Stuart Copland(The Police) and Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers). Known to the band as the Karma man and brings the sense of humour idiocy. Plays 4 piece Yamaha stage custom kit and a range of zildjian cymbals. Paul : (lead singer and rhythm guitar) Born and bred in the Drum. Projects his voice in unmissable yet typical dulcet Glaswegian tones. Writes, produces and arranges most of the songs along with Neil. Brings the main motivation to the band and hailed himself as the Captain of the ship. Founder member. Influenced by Beatles, Oasis and Rolling stones. Lee : (bass) from Bearsden. played bass for 7 years.Influences drawn from Hard rock such as iron maiden. Lee has natural talent. and good stage presence, commanding his area.Ensures the band always gets to the venue.safely. He’s the quiet one. Plays a fender jazz bass. Neil : (lead guitar and bvs) The Ayrshire kid from sunny Prestwick. Picked up guitar at 18 after hearing Nirvana who were first to make him sit up and take notice.Mainly plays firebird guitar. Main songwriter along with Paul. Brings a quiet approach to the group. Appears very chilled out and relaxed on stage.Squeezes amazing sounds using an Ebow and natural talent.
