Spread Like Mild Fire
I got my big-wheels at the bike shop downtown.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
A super-indie side project that exploded into something a bit more gruesome for a short period of time, SLMF emerged from drunken nights of improv "jam sessions" with two art students from NIU. One was a guitarist with a hardcore background. The other had no musical talent whatsoever, but he liked They Might Be Giants and he liked to sing when he was drunk. Thus SLMF was born, an orgy of short shorts and sweat bands exploding onto the DeKalb scene, spreading glamour, unintelligeable lyrics, and free condoms where ever they went.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We haven't played live for a while. We're currently on extended triple-bonus-hiatus, but something might happen in the future.
