My band consists of yours truly doing the songwriting and a bunch of virtual robots - playing soft synths - who try to do what I tell them without too much fuss. Maybe we all have virtually tin ears, who knows?
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I can't play any musical instrument except my PC, and I certainly can't sing. But see below...

Anything else?
Is the computer a potentially effective tool for bringing to life those untapped songs floating around in the heads of non-musicians and others who may be tone-mute but who are not necessarily tone deaf? No, I'm not talking about Guitar Hero or whatever it is, but at the same time, a lot of work is being done creating new MIDI control devices and surfaces, so I'm eager to see where these developments lead. Even though there's already so much good music, I don't think there's too much. If the computer can help unleash beautiful music, so much the better for all of us. It's certainly better than unleashing bombs or bullets.
