SpiralBox
SpiralBox is the name given to experimental and instrumental electronic music written and produced by Phil Gore.
The sounds are created using a variety of synth and sampling techniques. The music is created by piecing together these sounds in MadTracker.
My philosophy is not to try and sound similar to or copy other artists or styles. I just experiment with various sounds, melodies and rhythms and see what I can come up with. This can tend to make tracks inconsistent, especially as I never re-use a sound or sample, but I see that as a good thing. It means I'm not re-writing the same track over and over again. In summary - If I'm impressed with what I create then it stays!
I've already produced more than a full album's worth of music, and am now trying to find ways of promoting my music in the hope of getting something released.
