Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started in Massachusetts 1965 with my brother Paul in a Beatles cover band called the Tyes. 1967 as lead vocalist/front man for Michael and the Messengers had a hit called Romeo and Juliet on USA Records in Chicago. Continued through the years, in various groups as lead vocalist playing either guitar, keys, or bass. On April 23,1971 in Leominster, Massachusetts I became a follower or Jesus Christ. Played solo at coffeehouses and bass in a three piece christian rock band called FISH. 1976 left all my possessions , gave up music to hitchhike America , Canada, and Mexico to witness for the LORD. 1984 stopped hitchhiking settled in Chicago and started playing music again. 1985 got a van and traveled the country finally settling in Wisconsin in 1990. Played a little, worked construction until I retired in 2003. 2005 moved back to Massachusetts and recorded the Spent Sprocket Change Me CD with musician friends from back when I started. See: The Band Of Brothers section in the eight page fold-out for the CD.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?

Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Vanilla Fudge, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Cream, Blind Faith, Traffic, King's X
What equipment do you use?
I have found that high priced gear is not really needed by everyone. Some less expensive stuff performs very well, It's all about how it feels and works for you. I have two Squire Standard Strats with HSS pups, one Artic White the other Crimson Red Metallic. A Squire Standard Tele Antique Burst tuned to B standard. A SG G-400 Cherry (Epiphone's edition of 1962 Gibson SG ) tuned to drop D. A Harley Benton CST-24T Black Flame. An Applause AE 128 natural finish, acoustic/electric. An Ovation acoustic/electric 2751AX 12 string. A Dean Boca Trans. Amber 12 string. Everything goes thru both , Zoom 504II Acoustic pedal & Zoom 505II pedal run in parallel and stereo into right and left guitar amps Acoustic G35FX, or G100FX, or G120DSP. Two Fender Rumble V3 100 bass amps for stereo drums from a BeatBuddy. Behringer Europower PMP1280S & 1680S powered mixers, two Behringer Eurolive B212XL speakers. Three Kustom KPC10MP powered monitors. Four Gemini GT-1204 Speakers. Microphones are audio-technica AT818 and M4000S. The songs of the Change Me CD have a lot of two and three part harmony, and to have those parts be there when I perform solo, I use a TC-Helicon VTHarmonyG XT.
Anything else?
Everyone calls it PLAYING, but if you really want it to be right you have to WORK at it.
