Spellbox has been entertaining audiences all along the east coast with aggressive doses of acoustic rock 'n roll shoved down their throats with unmatched energy. Powerful songstress Misty Dawn's vocals and guitar combined with Shawn Spencer's innovative mandocello have brought this band success and turned the heads of record executives across the country.
The success of their first album, "Seasons of Wither", fueled their newest release, "Egyptian Death March". This duo's music has been featured in the soundtracks of "Gootis", "Rock Zombie", and "Pissin' on Nashville." With fans scattered throughout the US, Europe and Japan, touring has become the biggest focus of the band.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Of course we play live. Right now we are taking a teeny break before heading out west to do some shows, but we are currently based out of Gainesville, FL rocking the venues along the east coast of USA. There's no way we couldn't be enjoying ourselves... it comes naturally to be a musician for a living. Every performance onstage is special, because each audience is different every time... it's beautiful, twisted, dark and majestic.
What equipment do you use?
Alvarez & Epiphone guitars, Bardsong mandocellos, yorkville amps, & bo diddley's pedals
Anything else?
If you dig our shit, get a CD & copy it to everyone you know :)
