Sparkey 17
From the streets of Amercius, Georgia comes half of the G.C.P. with a whole new spin on the rap "Game". A member of Western North Carolina's Ghetto Country Prodigies (G.C.P.), Sparkey also carries the title of one-half of Americus based KreMade. A horrorcore rap artist, with a sprinkling of mainstream influence, Sparkey has been grinding the game out since he was 13.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started rapping when i was in 8th grade and continued after i dropped out of school in 11th grade. I then moved to Andrews, North Carolina where i joined a heavy metal band called Silenced. My position in the band was lead vocals, though i never sang. I was called "The Growler" by my bandmates and our fans which we called "Stitchmouths". While i was in Silenced i found a solid friendship with Andrews rapper Truth, and joined the rap group Ghetto Country Prodigies(G.C.P.). I was then removed from the band Silenced for reasons unknown.
I moved back to Americus, Ga in early 2006 and hooked up with M.P. (Formerly of Cool Jock and the Flock) and KreMade was born. M.P. produced for KreMade, and taught me to produce instrumentals. I've recorded and released two E.P.'s and one full Length L.P., and i'm currently working on a mixtape due out sometime in January '07.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I'd love to perform live, but where i'm from it's hard to book shows with my style.
