I'm Spade aka Kendal Darrell Hinton is sole-proprietor of Spade Production. I am a one man band with collabs for other local rappers located in the triangle. I look for new sounds, artists, and beats to continue the past in the present and future. Music can be simple or complex but with both the production of a song/CD is so creative that today's music isn't about that no more. The music today is fast food and I want gourmet sometimes but all the old artists can't keep up to the new age. I want to incorporate both new school and old school to be true to myself and fans. I am from Raleigh, NC but due to my job and relocating frequently I am in goldsboro. I was in England for two years and this is where it all started. England is so behind America in music they are still listening to what I consider old school music. It is so different over there people are into the lyrics and music collectively. It felt so good to be there because they stay true to themselves. America's music today is about money and I will continue to make music. It's for myself, and anybody that want to listen. I have been rapping for 4 years and I love what I do. I put every ounce into my music. I don't leave anything behind. Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, in goldsboro. Due my job/career undecided at this moment limits me and I have done only one gig, but a lot of open mikes. My first gig was special the reaction was so amazing and people felt my music and I could tell. For my first time I thought I would be scared but as soon as the music kicked in I was all over it and it was so fun. I was sweating, and after that one song was like wow it's harder than I thought. I loved every bit of it and will continue to receive more chances on the level I am on now to let people see me and hear my music. I have sole copyrights of my music so I give away as many Cd's as I can. Due to current rising living expenses it has slowed down the production so I'm now trying to found assistance through sponsors who can help during the growth period and I will like my credit score. A excellent candidate for investing in I believe in myself, have to find a person/group that will give me a true chance and I will run with it.
