Sovereign Reign is a christian music ministry with a southern rock and blues sound. They have the old "feel good rhythm" that you can dance to while hearing the message of Jesus Christ. God's Word says there is a time to dance (Ecclesiastes 3:4). Sovereign Reign was formed when vocalist/guitarrist, Joe Leatherman and vocalist/bassist, John Pavlik discovered they were both previously involved with music ministries. The two jammed a few times and the rest is history. Recently they have been joined by guitarrist/vocalist, Darrell Dezern and his wife/vocalist, Shari Dezern. A full time drummer/percussionist has not been added yet. They strive to keep the group focus on God and spread His holy word. "Sovereign Reign is about God and what He has done for us and what He can do for you. We do this because of God, for God. Not for our recognition, but to the glory of God. We never tell anyone that we wrote this or that. The songs we play are messages that God gives to us and we put that message to the the music God gives us. Then we give that message to you. We believe the moment a ministry group or individual stands up and says, "I wrote this song and hope you like it," they have just become another worldly band. We strive to let people know that we are a ministry for God and we humbly ask your prayers that our hearts contiue to stay humble to the desires of God. We want to work hard to spread the good news that Jesus is still in the "soul saving" business. He has brought this group of musicians together by hand-picking us and placing us where we were needed. God makes no mistakes. He has blessed this entire group with wonderful families who are very supportive of this ministry." We hope you find any information that you need on our site. If there is information you need or want that is not listed here, please email us and we will get it to you. We hope you enjoy the page. We will be adding more material soon. More information will be added to this page as time goes on. We are constantly working to improve this site. Thank you for stopping by and may God bless you and yours. -Sovereign Reign
Band/artist history
Sovereign Reign was formed in around May of 2007 when vocalist/guitarrist, Joe Leatherman and vocalist/bassist, John Pavlik discovered they were both previously involved with music ministries that had disolved. The two jammed a few times and began playing for their friends and families. They were joined by guitarrist/vocalist, Darrell Dezern and his wife/vocalist, Shari Dezern, in November of 2007, and played out that same month. In December of 2007, God sent a blessing by the name of Robert Tickle, who is an awesome drummer and percussionist. Sovereign Reign, in this short time as an entire group, has managed to minister at various events and at the same time, record and release their debut cd, Humble Beginnings. Be sure to check them out. Until then, God bless and keep rockin' for Jesus!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. We love to perform and minister live to all ages. We perform most anywhere. As far as special moments, everytime we minister is special. God is always there to speak and that is awesome.
