Southern Spur
SOUTHERN SPUR - A rip roarin', honky tonkin', emotional train ride that starts when the track veers south. Comfortable as a well worn pair of cowboy boots that can kick it up when the party starts or waltz along when the mood gets right. This band has been playing honky tonks, festivals, and concerts since 1998 with their own unique style of country music. In 2002 they released their debut CD "No Apologies, No Excuses" and scored a #1 hit on MP3.com
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Southern Spur began as a duo known as “The Spurs” in 1998 with its debut performance at a popular Nashville club. Since then the group has expanded a little and we’re now a five-piece band best known for playing the bars and honky tonks around South Carolina. We are unmistakably country, but if you see our live show you’re certain to hear some of your favorite southern rock and maybe even a few of your classic rock favorites. The comment we hear most often after a show is that we look like we’re having fun while we’re on stageand we are. We enjoy performing live and hope we can share that enthusiasm with the audience. So, check out our calendar of events and come see us when you get a chance. Even if you can’t come see us, be sure to get a copy of our debut album
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Southern Spur is a live band. We play through out the Southeast and our specialty is our live shows. We love it! Tootsie's in Nashville was huge
Your musical influences

Anything else?
Country Music is our passion and we try to keep country music, country. At the same time we still have southern rock influences and that comes out in our shows. If you get a chance, SEE SOUTHERN SPUR LIVE.
