The Southbound Freeway Band is basically three guys who have been friends since highschool. So, either they can't find any NEW friends, or they just like makin' music together.
Band/artist history
The Southbound Freeway Band is basically three guys who have been friends for a long time, but were always playing in other bands or working on other projects. Finally, about five years ago, the "stars aligned" and the guys were free to perform together. Currently, the band is working on new tunes, some to eventually be included on their first CD, so keep watching for new songs and feel free to give us feedback... good or bad... It's all about the music! "We don't take ourselves too seriously, so we really have a lot of fun with this."
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Playing live is WAY better than playing dead. We love playing live. We're a party band - plain and simple.
Your musical influences
Garth B., Toby K., Phil V., Eagles, Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, Tim M., Most Canadian Bands
What equipment do you use?
Guitars (acoustics, electrics), Bass, Keyboards (piano, organ, synths) We use MIDI for drums. We know, we know - "You should use a real drummer!" But drummers are a strange lot. Like goalies in hockey - there's just something about them... Seriously, when we can find a drummer who fits, we'll hire them.
Anything else?
Band members are: Andre - Lead vocals, guitars Bryan - Vocals, Bass, Guitars Darrell - Vocals, Bass, Guitars, Keybords, sequencing
