I'm really a guitarist but got into writing my own music a few years ago. I compose, record, arrange and mix the whole lot. I'm pretty diverse really, ranging from heavy rock, to dance, to folk, to semi-classical instrumentals, that are all done on my synth, and then mixed down onto my studio gear. I currently use a ZOOM 10 track digital recorder for this, which is fine. I'm currently looking for a good female singer to collaborate with, so, if there are any reading this, please get in touch for a chat.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In my thirty odd years playing guitar, I've always gigged, been in many bands. Bought a synth a few years ago, and started writing completely different types of music! but.... I do love writing and composing music and songs. I miss playing my guitar and gigging in a band, but would be up for it, if the right band came along.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Used to, but have been concentrating on writing and recording, but may go back to gigging in the future if I can get the right people for a band.
Your musical influences
In the early days, Clapton, Peter Green, Jeff Beck, and John Mayall, and I suppose Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash, what can you say about these guys? That was a very special era, it's not the same now though.......
What equipment do you use?
Synth, computer and various software..... earplugs in, and away we go.......!
Anything else?
A good female singer for collaborating with, and putting the vocals to my ideas.... please get in touch to have a chat, and see what we can do, you never know....
