Sound Theory is the culmination of years of pent up frustration and heartbreak for myself culminating in a sudden explosive spree of songwritting.
We try to write the most catchy songs we can in a variety of metal and rock formats.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
After experimenting in various types of band situations ranging from old Iron Maiden infulenced material to highly technical Dream Theater style material, I finally decided "to hell with it, I'm just gonna write everything myself." As luck would have it, my new neighbor just happened to be a drummer who liked to play the same style I did (no limiting style in particular). Since I find it difficult to write without the drums and he and I clicked musically and personally, we began our collaborations into the music writting game. I would sit and play peices I had in mind and we would jam until we found the correct groove. Needless to say, all the instrumentation, other than drums, is written and performaed by myself. We will one day have a full lineup, but he and I want to get a complete albums worth of material first. Once we have enough material we will then bring in other musicians to 'fine tune' the already existing music.
