Hello, I'm Ian and I make dance trance and house, well....anything with a beat that sounds nice (I hope)
Sounds Of Life is what I use as an artist name, I'm a solo artist,
I started out using E-Jay to produce tracks, but now solely use FL studio
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Started making music back in 1999 when i got my hands on music 2000 for the PlayStation 1,
Upgraded it to the PC version then proceeded to get the E-Jay collection,
Had my first song played in the local pub in 2002 and again in 2003 had 2 played in the local night club.
Then upgraded to using FL studio, with E-Jay i learnt how to piece together a track using samples,
Now i make my own sounds and riffs into samples ready to compile them.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have had some of my songs played at a local night club and pub, the best bit was hoping it wouldn't make people leave the dance floor but thankfully it packed it, ether that or they were just to drunk to realise.
Your musical influences
my musical influences are basically what my feelings give me, i think that you can get the best benefit if you can "feel" the music as well as listen to it as well.
What equipment do you use?
My PC and laptop 2.4gig Quad core, 8gig DDR3 2x G-force 650GTX , audigy X-FI sound card, Sony MDR-500 headphones, creative inspire 5500 5.1 surround sound speaker setup, portable mp3 player with built in mic, FL studio, Laptop is, 2gig core2duo, 4gig ram, HD audio with HDMI out put. pumped through a Series 7000 Power-amp running 2 Jamo studio speakers
