The band style can be described as a mixture of old school heavy acts like Merciful Fate ,the old Fates Warning , Candlemass/ Memento Mori and a lot of obscure European heavy metal with a lot of old and modern death metal influences like Dismember , At the gates , the old Kreator , Slayer , Carcass (rip) and a lot of great cult bands

Formados en 1998 por Nelson St. Marie(ex Tarántula ) guitarra y Jesús Bravo (Agony lords) voz . Al poco tiempo se unen Oscar López (Agony lords) bajo, Luis St. Marie ( ex Dies irae) batería y Eduardo Gómez( Dies Irae) guitarra con esta alineación se graba un demo de tres canciones llamado MYTHIC con el cual el grupo obtiene buenas reseñas, poco después Luis St. Marie abandona la banda y entra en su lugar Tony Martínez en ese entonces baterista de Dies Irae con esta alineación el grupo se presenta en diferentes ciudades de la republica. En el año 2003 Durante el proceso de grabación del álbum debut del grupo Eduardo Gómez (guitarra) así como Tony Martínez (batería) dejan el grupo por razones personales, en dichas condiciones se continúan las sesiones de grabación y empieza la búsqueda de músicos para reformar el grupo. A finales del 2004 se incorporan Oscar piñón(ex Agony Lords) batería y unas semanas después Jorge Inukai(ex Leper Messiah) guitarra, con esta alineación el grupo termina la grabación de FIRE DEMONS CD debut el cual será editado en 2005 por la compañía THE ART records . ENGLISH Souls On Fire was formed in 1998 by Nelson St. Marie formerly from the speed metal band Tarantula on lead guitar and Jesus Bravo former front man from the death metal band Agony Lords, after a few months Oscar Lopez bass player from Agony Lords , Luis S. Marie on drums and Eduardo Gomez on guitar joined the band , with this line up the band produced their first demo called MYTHIC and got great reviews and support from their old fans but unfortunally Luis St. Marie left the band due to personal problems and his place is taken by Tony Martinez at that moment drummer of Dies Irae at this point the band started to play gigs around the country to spread the force of Souls On Fire. In 2003 during the recording of the first album the problems began to delay the recording process that finally ended with the separation of Eduardo Gomez and Tony Martinez . after months of doubt and anger the rest of the band decided to continue the recording and began the search for new musicians. At the end of 2004 Oscar Piñon former drummer of Agony Lords and Jorge Inukai on lead guitar joined the group and finally after one long year the recording of their first release FIRE DEMONS is finished in the band own studios Gaia and Evolution . The Mexican label and distro The Art Records will release the CD during the year of 2005. News The band has started the promotion of their first cd FIRE DEMONS with a series of gigs in their own state, more dates are being prepare late July .
