S.O.S.

Its Natural Born, baby....ya'll know me/from rockin papers on Lewis and 14th street..... S.O.S. Music, a hip hop revolution..... Peace to my crew 2nd Kings, Cross Country Gold Medalists, FMLY, The Underground Railroad, and DJ Sharp Precision. Extended love to DBD/Zaki-Amin Productions, Truth Universal Music, Strictly Dimensional, Young G.O.D. and the GameBoyz.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started rhyming when I heard that first Run DMC 12inch around 1985 I guess. Beatboxin since the first Fat Boys (Disco 3 MC's) record and in no time was the illest in my sectition I was poppin and lockin at the same time. Started DJin a lil around 87 and my guys DJ Fatz and DJ Sharp Precision took me to the next level in 91 when I moved back to Z-illa. Freestlye DJin and just plain freestylin became the recreation of choice. Been playing piano and keyboards since I can remember. Went to Grambling State...and started listening to nothing but jazz. After a while I pulled out my roommates Four track and the infamous "Final Call" was born. I then hooked up with the Gameboyz and was putting together the music for their shows and was doing radio promo's for them and the NOISA. In college my roomate TruBlaq the Aqutual Faqt and I partnered up, and formed DBD/Zaki Amin Productions. We started doing music for a group called FMLY and a few others. The bond with them was made and we became a part of the FMLY Tree. After college (97) we all moved to sepearate parts of the universe....and were out of contact for a while. In 2000 it all came back together as Tru Blaq and I reconnected to form the Hip Hop duo 2nd Kings... the best is still yet to come.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Focusing on production right now for my project and a few others ...and writing for my project off and on.
Your musical influences
MC Juice, Common, Pete Rock, No I.D., The Roots, DJ Quik, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hanckock, Earl Klugh, Marvin Gaye, Prince.
What equipment do you use?

Anything else?
I am a member of the "Cross Country Gold Medalists" production team as well as others; and we combine to make things happen. S.O.S. Music? Thats my production entity. Its where I create the direction for the music and I do my own thing. Dig that... I do music because I have to... Its embedded in me. I dont have a choice. My pops planted the seed...and I will be affiliated with hip-hop till im 87 yrs old.
