Olafur, great job on your music. I especially liked 'almost here' and 'almost there' . Check out my project some time if you get a chance. Best regards from the USA.

Wow! You've been busy since my last visit here. The new songs are great. "Almost here" and "Almost there" both made me smile and I hear the McCartney influence in "Always" (good taste). The lyrics for "Nice Day" are simply great. Keeps getting better and better. Thanks for letting me know you posted more songs and please let me know when you post even more. You have a fan cheering in Oklahoma.

Hey Olafur, have been talking to a drummer friend about laying down some new tracks, so maybe I'll be sharing some more originals soon. If you'd care to hear some with Christian content, you can check out Don and Faith, those are all originals. See ya later. Don

Hi there Olafur.
I was listening to your songs and they are very promising to say the least. I sense some strong influence from some of rocks biggest giants but they are well blended and used with your own style. I have listened to many songs on soundclick.com and other simular sites and your music is up there among the best. Good luck for the future.

Great songs from you Olafur. You seem to have a good ear for at least ballads. I am curious to hear your rock side, or even electronic work.
Nice use of the Edison phonograph on "A Beginning", blends the old with the new.

Hi Olafur.
I´ve listened to two of your songs, "Angel" and "The Beginning". I like both of them very much, they´re slow, relaxing and nice.
I think I can see what bands you are influenced by. You seem to be partly influenced by The Beatles great track "Blackbird", which is one of my favorite Beatle song.
Then I can sence some influence from the Beatles song "The End" from "The Abbey Road" LP in the intro of "The Beginning" and after the intro you slide into sounds that would have been great on Pink Floyd´s "Wish you were here".
Anyway. Well done! Keep up the good work.
Cheers.
TM.

Hi Don! Thanks for your comment.
For the electric on "My Boy" I used an effect on my BR1180 called "Guitar Pad" which is essentially a "slow attack" effect. I played it through the whole song in one take, but then decided to limit it to certain parts of the song when I mixed it.
PS. Just listened to your "Everyone Needs Somebody" again and confirmed I was right the first time: It's great.
Cheers,
Olafur

Olafur. Thanks for the comment on my song. I like your tune "My Boy". Was wondering if you were using the volume knob on the electric or maybe a foot volume controller. Or is it some kind of gated effect. Very nice. Don

Beautiful song and very nice singing, lazy and cool. Is it written for you son?
Was enjoying a few tunes. Your style and voice reminds me of Leonard Cohen on his first albums. He has grown into a deep bass now, but early on his voice was like yours now. Don
