Sons of Mandrake

Brisbane, Australia
Rock Punk
October 13, 2003
A six-piece band with eclectic influences, ranging from straight-edge to reggae to junk rock.
Band/artist history
Formed in late 2000, the Sons of Mandrake have undergone many lineup changes. The original bass player, Nic Carter and Trombonist, Jono Bowers, ducked out early in the bands career. Martin Wong moved from the position of drummer to guitarist and vocalist, and Yeo-Hann Choong was added on Keyboard and Vocals. Mitchell Welch was on Guitar and the Subercheck on trumpet at this point. This line-up lasted for some time and the Demo "Songs of Mandrake" was recorded with these four people. After this, Sean Muir was added on bass and Tim Schultz on drums to complete the linup and make the SOM sound complete. This line-up is currently recording a new EP, adn the first single "Misfit" is already available here.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We've only had a lot of experience with the Battle of the Bands at our school and a couple of parties. We love the experience and look forward to some decent gigs in the new year.
