Band/artist history
Way back when I was about three or so, I was at a gatherinng. There was a guy there playing an electric guitar, and I just thought that was the coolest thing and that I had to have one. (Never did get it :-P)
Fast-forward eleven or twelve years. I got, by chance, a demo of ReBirth RB-338 and Cubase from someone who works in music. Soon after, I got a keyboard (a Casio WK-1300) and a MIDI interface for my computer. I started making simple ambient pieces, using the keyboard's built-in record function. (Unfortunately, they, as well as the copies of them have since been destroyed due to my stupidity and a very tragic HD crash. So much for rearranging them in Reason, eh?)
Soon after that, I got the full version of ReBirth and my style took a near-180 turn and went more towards trance. I'll put some of those up soon... no, really!
Anyways, now that I have Reason, I seem to be shifting back to my old style while still making some trancey stuff for fun.Your musical influences
There are really too many influences to list, as I am really influenced by pretty much everything I hear. But in listing the sounds I am most influenced by, I'd probably have to say Vangelis, not that I would ever compare my work to his. I'm also very much influenced by artists I hear on DI.fm Chillout and SomaFM Drone ZoneWhat equipment do you use?
I just use my Apple TiBook G4 at 800MHz with Reason 3 and ReBirth 2.1 on the hard drive, a Mark of the Unicorn FastlaneUSB MIDI interface and a Casio WK-1300. I also have an Evolution UC-33e which I use to control the synths and mixer in ReasonAnything else?
I'm 19 going to the University of New Haven for a degree in music.Night Dreams

Hey, I just wanted to let you know, I've just uploaded 7 new tracks to my page. "Defiling Todays Youth (fun and Easy)," "Immolation," "Slow Death," "Meltdown," "The Inadequacies of Intercourse," two versions of Hatecrime split into two segments. Come check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks for the message. Added to my station - it IS a lovely piece :)I really enjoyed Forsaken Butterflies but the piano is much to quiet in the mix - if you could remix it then I'd love to include it on my Soundclick Staion 'Night Dreams'All comments (4)
