So Much Closer
Connectivity, the continual state of relationship that exists between people, music, art, life...musical movements that are emotive...words that mean something...emotions...laughter...authenticity...playing music...ink...really good pizza...adult beverages...Playing Music...
What do you get when you take the big voiced soulful singer/songwriter from EKe and Whiskey Daydream, team him up with the solid groove based bass player from the Frontline, a Math Rock influenced drummer that appears to be destroying his kit when he plays, and the insane multi-instrumentalist from Circus Window?
An adventure in groove based indie rock.
Rather than representing a specific genre, So Much Closer draws from an amalgam of influences. During their set you can hear soft whispers and restrained dynamics that beckon a Death Cab for Cutie comparison right before they explode into a bombastic musical tirade that would make fans of Silversun Pickups stand up and shout, then they settle into a solid groove that evokes a Kings of Leon vibe.
The members of So Much Closer: Eric Ketzer (vox/guitar), Chris Logan (bass), Patrick Enright (drums), and Patrick Swan (Korg/Trumpet/Guitar/bvox) formed this band with two desires 1) Make great music. 2) Have fun.
We think they do both. (read less)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, as much as we can, where ever we can.
