Something Spooked the Horses
The band started off as three piece - guitar, banjo, vocals, but another friend of ours played guitar and sang so we persuaded him to play washtub bass then he bought himself a double bass last year - still occasionally longs for the simplicity of the 'tub.
Our fiddle boy and banjo man walked off into the sunset and we have gradually recruited new horses:
JohnFrance-dobro
Alley Heley-fiddle
Tony Hopper-percussion
Simon Fitzpatrick-mandolin
to add to the stalwarts-
Chris Mullarkey-double bass
Di Nicholson-Vocals,Gtr
Gary Nicholson-Vocals,Gtr,Banjo.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play anywhere that looks interesting - local roots club fund raisers - we played a bikers' festival here in England called the Farmyard Party two years running in June - 8,000 attended.Nice.
