Soluble Dreams
It's a project I created due to my interest in electronic music, and my ambition to recreate something that I find unique, and different, that expresses some part of me, though I am in the process, I have only expirimented with a few 'songs', and only one 'finished' one has been made thusfar.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
None, really. I have been aspiring to create music for quite some time. Not until I got my first piece of noise creating (Nord Lead 2) did I begin to delve deeper into the realms of how to make my 'dream' come true. Only recently have I taken the time to compile thoughts, expiriments, and ideas into a piece of music.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No.
Your musical influences
It started with (sadly) Final Fantasy Music, created by Nobuo Uematsu, my first real influence. I loved the way it sounded, and at the time it wasn't just simple game music, but something that touched me. I quickly searched for other [bands] to listen to, and Nine Inch Nails had to be the first. This lead me into what is called the "industrial scene". From there, Pulsar Bleu (and ambient group with awesome soundscapes) lead me to Skinny Puppy, Hocico, Negative Format, Leaether Strip, Venetian Snares, Terrorfakt.. etc. etc. etc. Which are my greatest inspirations. Skinny Puppy being the most inspirational, my favorite band for over a year.
What equipment do you use?
Hehe. Currently (with software, etc) I use:
Cubase SX
Nord Lead 2
Midiman USB Keystation
Yamaha TG-33
Audiophile 2496
Kontakt
Buzz Machines
Edirol MA-10D Monitors
