Curtis Young, AKA Hood Surgeon was born on December 15, 1981 in Paramount, California at Charter Suburban Hospital. Early in his life, he moved to Compton, California and attended Kelly Elementary school. During his High School years he studied poetry to better himself in his rap endeavors. His inspiration comes from east and west coast rappers such as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG, Jay Z and his father Andre Young (Dr. Dre). Looking up to a great legend, he was inspired to consider music as a possible career choice, thus inspiring him to learn how to mix, rap, and make his own beats. Now being in the spot light Hood realized the responsibility that comes with the territory.He also realizes the expectations to keep the legacy created by his father alive and has continually worked towards his career dreams independently.
