Social Concern
Social Concern was formed in May of 2003 as a simple high school garage band. Since then, they have progressed to a darker, punk influenced sound with song content geared toward social and political issues. Shows/tours are mostly contained to Northern California and Oregon at this point in time. Summer 2006 we will be on tour, however the exact direct of that tour is yet to be determined.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We've played in Chico, CA and Redding, CA too many times to count. We've also played in Sacramento, Orangevale and Susanville, CA and Medford, OR.
Your musical influences
We've been discribed as punk rock, grunge and even metal. Genre classification is so hard these days. If the Ramones, The Distillers, Pennywise, Rancid and Tsunami Bomb had a child, it would sound something like Social Concern.
