Music somewhere between the dancefloor and the epic movie ending. Walls of sound that find ways to pierce you. The band you didn't know you loved.Band/artist history
Bio:
It started right here in this room, an office behind my brother's house in East Point, Georgia. Snowden was really the child of a crumbled college romance, a dark room and an 8 track. Bad mics, a poor knowledge of recording and a love for songs saturated with effects. You can never have too much reverb or delay Poorly recorded, heavily processed lonliness and self-absorption.
The second year of recording took place with new recording equipment. The location was Athens, Georga. At this point, the music of Snowden finally reached a level worthy of public display. The first year or so of Snowden was locked away, but not forgotten. Tracks produced at this point included a Zombies cover and Kill the Power. Both were quickly adopted by dj's at rock/dance nights in Atlanta. Lyrics developed from a year's worth of political science classes, philosophy of religion, and classic introspection. 12 songs later... things started coming together.
In the summer of 2003, the founding member of Snowden met up with four amazing people to help bring these songs to life in front of an audience.
Snowden isn't the best thing out there, but it's definitely worth your time.Have you performed in front of an audience? We play quite often, but are trying to break out of Atlanta and into the rest of the southeast and up the east coast.
I swear, if I see so much as a foot tapping in the audience, that's all I need to be happy.
