Sniff my Butthole Jones
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
"Sniff My Butthole" Jones is a popular Canadian recording artist. In 1994, he had a minor hit with "I Gotta Butt". After almost two decades of spreading the Butthole Beat around The Americas, Jones is mounting a cross-border excursion and reforming his famed backing band The Buttsniffers. So far, he has hit thirteen U.S. States. This year marked another first as Jones played in The Northwest Territories for the first time, accompanied by some original Buttsniffers.
Your musical influences
...."There are clear traces in Jones' work of early North American folk songs (about butts), married with a decidedly dancey (butt-based) groove that pays an undeniable debt to beat music (about butts) and socially conscious good-timey pop groups (who sung about butts) by way of the early 80's (butt) underground modernized through his self described "Butthole Beat", which, as far as this reporter can tell, draws its basis from the big names, producers and petty theifs, a small, butts, a small, almost non-existent budget, and a handful of apsirin. Oh, and being an orphan, too."
