SNATCH was formed in May of 2002 when members of another local band hired a new guitar player. The band combines garage rock with alternative and punk influences to create a new catchy sound. SNATCH features amazing female vocals, over-the-top guitars, and a strong rythem section. The band has been doing well in local markets and has reicieved air play on local alternative stations. SNATCH is a punk/alternative band hailing from Southeastern Nebraska. The group started in May of 2002 and has been hard at work since. Their music derives from garage rock and grunge to obtain a rebellious and pleasing sound.. Two days in September was all it took to record their current EP Get Into It. Featuring No Such Thing, Branded, and Mourning Doves the band shows their diversity. From catchy punk to alternative to mellow ballads SNATCH does it all. Wouldnt you want your SNATCH to do it all? With amazing female vocals, a strong beat, and over-the-top guitars, SNATCH creates a unique sound rivaled by none. GET INTO IT.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, defintely. We love to play live. We will play anywhere, with anybody, just as long as we are getting exposure.
Your musical influences
Sean (guitar) and Dave (drums) were influenced by early thrash metal like Slayer, Metallica, Alice in Chains, etc. Brian (bass) is influenced by Peter Gabriel, The Police, Rush, and REM. Karma (vocals) is influenced by modern pop and a plethra of others. The band finds common ground in each other's songwriting.What equipment do you use?
