instead of 50cent and Lil' Kim's version about sex...I flip the magic stick on some weed references...pretty clever if i do say so myself!

What's Going On? What's Going On?
somebody had to comment on the state of the world!!

mp3 joint for my pussycats mp3 joint for my pussycats
one verse about a girl who touched me...alot of fellas can relate to the words and the ladies should feel that most guys look at them in this way even if they don't show it.

FRRUCK YOU!!! - B2K "Girlfriends" remix FRRUCK YOU!!! - B2K "Girlfriends" remix
took B2K's "Girlfriend" song which is about wanting and loving a girl and I flipped it on a freestyle about chicks and the negative shit they do!! It's like a fed up dude's anthem!
One two, one two!! Mic checka, mic checka!! I go by the name of SMOKE, known to take that extra toke off the choke and if you skip me in a cypher your hand might get broke! I'm blessing y'all with a few tracks to get your brains and salivary glands wet...let me know if you want more and I'll deliver!! I always appreciate the feedback so holla at your friendly neighborhood "platano!!"
Band/artist history
This is the true story of an up and coming rapper from Washington Heights originally, representing his Latin heritage to the fullest incorporating Spanish and English into a blend of lyrics spawning a new genre called "Spanglish!" Other rappers have utilized this trademark in their styles, but no one quite the way Smoke does. The delivery is clever and quick and the rhymes are simple enough that the average Joe can understand and maybe even pick up a little Spanish too. From the early days of discovering hip-hop while cutting classes in the hallways of prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music & Art, Smoke would always separate himself from the rest of the pack with the cleverest of metaphors and wordplay. The technique known as freestyling became a very good way for the M.C. to craft his styles on the street corners after school with other emcees while battling.
Upon graduation Smoke found himself in and out of many home-based studios all over New York City working with unknown but, very promising producers and engineers. After recording many songs as a soloist in nearby Brooklyn, Smoke incorporated some of his neighborhood friends into some studio sessions and slowly the group decided on pursuing a record deal together and called themselves the S.P.I.K. Clik (Spanish People In Kontrol). The group began recording together in 1996 and had a rather large following in New York City and primarily in Washington Heights where the crew hailed from. S.P.I.K. Clik filmed a total of 3 music videos and had HOT 97 playing their songs in heavy rotation on Dennis Riveras show called Home Jams throughout 1997-98 so the future looked bright. After an audition (and what wouldve been a contract offering for sure) for JMJ Records, the group had to unfortunately break up due to irreconcilable differences. After taking a break of songwriting and recording for a year or so, Smoke reemerged with a new original sound and a killer determination. Ready to stake his claim on NYC first then the world, Smokes new songs still display the same creativity and wit from his early recording days but, now brings a more mature sound to the table and the subject matter has dramatically changed for the better after dealing with so many life situations subsequent to the groups breakup. Now a major record selling force to be reckoned with, Smoke feels nothing can stop him in 2006 and with a masterfully perfected style like Spanglish under his belt there is no reason he cant reach the masses and maybe enlighten while entertaining a little bit, too.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've done a few gigs at Nuyorican Poet's Cafe and blessed the crowd at Pyramid's in L.E.S. once or twice.
Your musical influences
I'm always getting compared to Eminem...I've heard Redman and Method Man, too and all 3 are probably my biggest influences. Beyond that, everyone else in hip-hop has influenced me in a good or bad way. Meaning, some people suck so I know not to rap like they do and some cats I love to hear spit so they influence me to give it all I got every time I clutch a mic!
What equipment do you use?
A microphone, a beat and my throat.
Anything else?
I'm a sick emcee with metaphors you've never heard before, I'll make you rewind the tape until your arm is sore, I spit incredible rhymes when I open my jaws and there's nobody like me out there...say no more.
