Every once in a great while a band emerges from the scene that absolutely floors the listener and Slowvein is no exception to that rule. Their sound takes the listener on a closed circuit tour of originality leaving the listener wanting more.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Slowvein arrived on the Oklahoma City music scene in May, 1997. Since then they have established themselves as one of OKC's biggest attractions, setting attendance records and attracting local VIP's to their shows.
Slowvein has shared the stage with several national acts including Tesla, Great White, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Brother Cane, Blue Oyster Cult, Warrant, Ratt, and Stabbing Westward just to name a few. They headlined the local stage at KATT FEST playing for over 16,000 people.
Their first CD, "All The Better To See You With" was released in September, 1998. It currently gets airplay on over fifty radio stations nation wide, including KMOD 97.5 & KMRX 101.5 in Tulsa, Rock 102 & KMXJ MIX96 in Ft. Smith & KKEG 92.1 in Fayetteville. In March of 2000, Slowvein released their second cd "Push", which gained even more airplay throughout the United States, turning the heads of several indepedent record labels and executives in the business..
At the end of 2002, Slowvein went on to win the Katt Radio / Miller Beer battle of the bands soon after adding backup vocalist Susan Lea to the lineup.
In October of 2003, Slowvein released their third album "What A World", a full length CD containing 15 songs that are pure to the core Rock and Roll.
