Slik Shawty

Emerging from the underbelly and dark alleyways of the A, Slik Shawty is poised to carry the torch for the Motown of the South. At first glance, you might mistake him for another catch the truest of hip hop fans by total surprise. His book of rhymes are sure to put his name in conversations with some of the greats from all regions. Slik is a throwback of sorts; reminiscent of a young and hungry Scarface. Shawty poignantly paints hauntingly grimy tales of street life as only someone who has lived it could do. With the uncanny ability morph his flow into multiple styles, he is more than equipped to murder tracks from all regions of the map. He has performed and battled at a number of local venues, including the brutal and well-respected Mic Club. His live shows have left thugs and back packers alike in awe of his raw energy and clever wordplay.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Having raised himself since age 15, Shawty has seen an abundance of life influenced by poverty, drugs, violence, and deceit. With his father in and out of jail, and mother a victim of the 80s crack epidemic, hustling was the way of life that taught him only the strong survive. Lo and behold, he emerged from this turbulent upbringing like the rose that grew from concrete. At 23, Slik Shawty is more focused than ever on his career as an entertainer and emcee. He is determined to do whatever it takes to attain the success that fellow hood dwellers, such as T.I., have achieved. His infectious personality and quick wit will charm the ladies, while his street demeanor and real talk will connect with the hardest thug . Slik continues to perfect his craft and expose himself to all forms of music, helping to further diversify his delivery and lyrical content. Slik is currently being produced by Blaksun Recordings and managed by Climaxx Entertainment.
