Skip Wilson

Colorado songwriter/performer. Day job: Firefighter Night Job: Dreamer
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been playing guitar and writing songs for 20 years or more. I have co-written a number of songs with a dear friend, MaryPat McKenna, who will one day be famous and take care of me when the lyrics die...I just love her.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes,local venues in the South Denver Metro area and Mountain restaurants and clubs. I absolutely love playing out....the folks...the musicians...the friends....the ENERGY!! One special moment was opening for Ty Herndon this past summer at a 4th of July event.
Your musical influences
Stephen Stills....Crosby...Nash....Young...Croce...I want to hear that sound come alive again someday...vocal harmonies...classic acoustic guitar lines and melodic association to songs again.
Anything else?
God bless the Rocky Mountain Music zone...Ed Skibbe...Ken K...Jimmie Muffin and all the wonderful folks at Ash Street Music...Tom Gould and June McHugh
