Sir Nose
I am Art A. aka "Sir Nose" or "Nose". I grew up with music flowing through my veins like blood. Coming from a long line of musicians and musical background. I was exposed to different genres of music. Only to use that to my advantage as I molded into my own artist with my own unique style. The one thing that caught my attention the most was the power of 2 turntables and the remixxx. I have done this for 14 years and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have produced/remixxx'd/collaberated with other artist and record labels for 9 years. But my heart is in mixxx'n on 2 turntables. I've been a DJ/Mixxxmaster going on 14 years in May of this year (see: www.soundclick.com/djsirnose....Coming Soon). I have worked with Bishop Of Babble since 1995. We did alot of local parties/events only to be the best DJ/MC duo in our area. Between 1999 and 2001 Me and Bishop did our own thing business wise and musically. During this time we worked on polishing up our skills and started our own labels (Sir Nose-NoseZoneRecs./SirNoseProd.)(Bishop-UPROAR Music/The Gravy Factory). Only to get back on the set to destroy anything that comes our way. In 2001 I meet D'zyl 5001, Teflon Vest, and D'lemm-uh, These talented artist/MC's are the UPROAR Officials. They were working with Bishop on alot of ear grabbing lyrics and songs. I joined the group to add the DJ/Remixxx aspect to the group. "Together the UPROAR Officials are UNSTOPABLE".
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I love playing live, Especially with The UPROAR Officials. We have done many shows, Too many to mention and all have been the best, Thats the only way to perform. With Heart pummpin beats By Teflon, Ear grabing lyrics by Bishop & D'zyl, And Furious scratching by me. Together we are "Unstoppable". Your musical influences
Some of my big musical influences are Earth, Wind And Fire, Digital Underground, Parliament, Run-DMC, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Busta Rhymes, Chris "The Glove" Taylor. These are some of my professional musical influences. On a personal note My Biggest Influence is my Grandfather, He told me to never give up on what I beleive in, And thats my musical talent.
What equipment do you use?
I use the DJX, VSS-30, PSS-30, BVL 8-Channel Studio Mixer,(2)Technic 1200 Turntables, PS-626 Pro 2 DJ Mixer, Cakewalk, And 2 Compaq PC's.
