SINS OF THE FATHER

We are an alternative power metal band! The band started out as a foursome that only had a semi decent drummer which evolved into a band which shows some signs of talent!

Sins of the Father is a melodic/power metal band that started out in the midlands town of Rugeley and is now based in Burton-on-Trent.

It began when Steve Baker (on vocals) and Ollie Hopkins (on the drums) formed a band with a guitarist (known only as Nat).

At the time this band had the rather abysmal name "Sons of Satan".

This changed around about the time that another one-named guitarist (Morgan) joined (followed swiftly by the retirement of Nat) to Sins of the Father.

The next addition to this lineup of three was the bassist known as Raz. At this point Sins of the Father had finally reached the status of a complete band, with all the minimal instruments for a rock band (of some description) covered - Things were looking up.

So Steve promptly left and fled to Leeds.

This caused a problem.

The band was, once again, one member down.

Then came Brass on vocals.

Brass' roaring vocals brought yet another new dimension to the already fairly individual sound of Sins of the Father.

Once again the Sinners were a complete band.

After a time it was decided that a second guitarist was required, so Owen Hill joined in as lead axeman. The introduction of Owen's melodic lead playing and insane guitar solos meant that Sins of the Father were ready to bring their music to the stage.

Shortly after this the Sinners recorded a demo featuring two of the first songs that they had written - Brothers in Arms and Cold Winter Dreams.

Then they found themselves, once again, short on a member - this time lead guitar.

And so Sins of the Father reverted to their old four-piece format.

And from here the story of Sins of the Father continues...

Yeah we have played live a few times and we all love it! As far as special moments go all we can say is no matter how many times we get up on stage in front of a crowd of a hundred or ten people it is always a special moment ;-)

I guess were like a fusion of alot of things but to put it bluntly i guess Maiden meets Pantera is probably the most accurate!

Theres not a great deal to say really! Just if your looking for a band and your in the staffordshire/derbyshire area get in contact with us! But we can only do saturdays and sundays due to most of the band work shifts if you have a week day lined up you'll have to let us know at least a month in advance to see if we can arrange it!
