sinsect
Musician, DJ, Artist, Performance Artist, Graphic Designer... Sinsect has been a name
in the Industrial/Experimental scene for almost seven years.
The name was coined in early 1997 as a DJ moniker in NYC, spinning obscure
industrial and experimental music at some of NYC's most popular clubs (The Pyramid,
The Bank, Mother, and Z-Bar). The Pyramid also hosted Sinsect's first live show,
performing with the members of Noizguild in a brutal onslaught of sonic textures, samples,
distorted beats, and incoherent screams. Around this time, he recorded his first album,
a collaboration with ambient/experimental artist, Ergot.
Relocating to Atlanta in '99 gave him a new frame of reference. After Dj'ing several
times for J-sin's Secret Room, Sinsect became a regular cast member for they're
avant garde fetish performance troupe. In early 2001, he also recorded several tracks
with F.O.S.A. and otitisMEDIA. Constantly trying to push the envelope, Sinsect has
performed grusome, painful, and bloody acts for his audiences. Now in Dallas, TX,
Sinsect is evolving yet again. Combining all of his experiences in the DJ booth and
on the stage, the best is yet to come
