Water towers, corn silos, and windmills stand as sentinels, pulling the eyes away from the horizon, where the soil overtakes the sky; everywhere you look.
Nothing, not a thing stands in the way of a middle-American winter, and frigid gales strip the skin and cold grips the skeleton--forcing many into a primal--animal-like stay of hibernation.
The seasonal oppostites are characterized by a choking heat or thick clouds with falling rain. And when it rains, it pours....
This is the Midwest. With the outpouring of recent heavy music primarily finding its source somewhere in this region, the label has almost become cliched.
But, adding to this rhetorical mess-heap is Normal. Illinois to be exact.

Splintering the surface and breathing life by the year 1999, a small middle-American circle has assembled and taken on the collective identity known only as sinckwhole. Hailing from the unsung town of Normal, Illinois, this 5-piece mental/musical experience delivers an unwavering sound that molds and redefines what was once a stale genre. sinckwhole employs a meticulous combination of intensity and dark melody, converged through stringed and percussive arrangements as well as distinctive audio and potent vocals.
Initially attracting an avid mass of all ages in and around the stagnant Midwestern locale, sinckwhole's following has since grown outside of the region and continues to occupy new minds across the map. Amassing the first efforts of definition with its 2001 release "Cease to Exist", sinckwhole began to subject the population to a new breed of audio interaction, capturing the local scene with its sound and relentless stage presence. Following the impressive full-length, sinckwhole expanded its creeping hold on the region with an unyielding agenda, making appearances at many Midwestern venues alongside an array of acts both regional and national.
