Hardcore band from Pennsylvania. Drummer J. Mountjoy runs into Guitarist J. Hannel one day and they decide to play some music. Vocalist D. Hazen shows up to play some tekken. Filth is born. Name changes include: Bloodthirst, Milk Money, Brutal Beatdown Crew, Of One Mind. Then Simple Assault. Many breakups and different members came and went, but the originals have always come back, one way or another...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play live, We play local, and we love it. Special moments? This one time the guitarists brother decided to put his body through a solid wood door...
Your musical influences
Pennsylvania Hardcore with a sense of humor. We can take constructive critisizm as well as destructive. As a drummer, I am influenced by death metal bands such as DYING FETUS or CANNIBAL CORPSE. But when a replacement drummer is found I will be moving to 1st guitar, where my influences boil down to PANTERA, old METALLICA, ALICE IN CHAINS, yes even NIRVANA. Our guitarist at the moment has more of a local scene influence like IRATE, CANDIRIA, HATEBREED, and even as far as those guys who sang MY CHARRONA. The vocalist finds his influence in old-school and newer hardcore bands alike. As far back as BIOHAZARD or TYPE-O-NEGATIVE to MADBALL, IRATE, or GO FUCK YOURSELF.
