SiliconBeaT's style is Progressive House Breaks and Trance. With nice breakbeats and Phat pads. Been in the mix for 1.5 Years and producing music for this long as well.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed 1.5 years ago. Siliconbeat uses Computers and keyboards to make his tunes.
He has played 20 gigs so far. With a more to come.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
At carbon & Heaven in CHCH, New Zealand.
Its a nice little clubs with nice lighting and sound system.
Your musical influences
Matt started making music from a young age. Recorders at 5 Years old. Then Clarinet at 7 Years old through to 15, to get Grade 7. Also Piano and Theory to Grade 3. In 93' he started listening to dance music on Programme 3 on RDU. Back then it was mostly Hip-Hop but there was a little Trance. Then 94' rolled in. He was 16 and the rave scene in CHCH went crazy. Undergrounds raves in warehouses and outdoor parties every month. Also the wicked nightclub Quadraphenia opened up for business.
What equipment do you use?
Computer, friend, guitar, Soon to be using a girlfriends voice.
