Silent Thunder was born on 4 September 1974 in Gorinchem -The Netherlands-. Started out producing music fall 2004 and developed into a Tribal producer along the way. Love the drums, love the percussion!
Band/artist history
DJ Ronaldo was born on 4 September 1974 in the city of Gorinchem (The Netherlands), where he grows up and lives up to this day. In his youth, early 90s, he starts listening and enjoying acts like The Prodigy, The KLF and Enigma. These acts impress DJ Ronaldo so much that he starts buying records of these acts, as well on 12 as on CD. After many years of building up a great musical dance collection, and visiting various parties all over the country (a.o. ID&T, UDC, Sensation, Tiësto in Concert & Crazyland), in the summer of 2004 he buys some software, with which you can produce a full studio production. DJ Ronaldo is making tracks with that right away. On the 14th of October 2004 his first track Chinatown sees daylight. It's a track with lots of percussion and strings. A style which still plays a big part in his productions. In December of the year 2004, DJ Ronaldo has his first DJ-gig on local radio station Merwe Radio, where he presents a full hour of radio during the charity action 'Dance 4 Darfur'. In this radio show the first ever 3 Silent Thunder-tracks are brought to a large radio audience! Not much later 2 other tracks are being played on Merwe Radio (the acid banger 'Sexy Creamy White Boots Girl and the hardstyle track Save The Groove) during the radio show 'The Groove' presented by DJ's Martin Klomp and Steven. The first ever CD-album of Silent Thunder is entitled The Percussionist and sees daylight in july 2005. As the title indicates,it is a loud pumping Tribal-CD, which shakes up dance floors. This album released as an Independant White Label sells more than 30 copies in only a few weeks. It is in de summer of 2005 that DJ Ronaldo starts experimenting with breakbeat, big beat and drum&bass. This results in new artistic horizons and produces the dreamy breakbeat smasher Sweet Strings as well as the rocking tunes of the Drum Session-tracks. In the summer of 2005 DJ Ronald gets the opportunity to let the internationally well-known DJ and producer Miss Monica hear one of his tracks. Partially thanks to her useful tips he manages to remix his percussional track Tribal Pandemonium into a real tribal smashing groove!
